London Town is one of the most unique communities in Chicago. Instead of a collection of houses, many of which were built in different styles at different times, this is a planned townhome community. It is a cooperative community in which every resident is a member-owner of their home. The community is filled with green spaces and beautifully landscaped grounds along with plenty of sidewalks to walk on.

London Town is a part of the Pullman neighborhood and rated as the 122nd Most Walkable Neighborhood in Chicago. Chicago State University is just down the road along with a number of places to eat and shop. Pet supplies are within driving distance and there are a few parks nearby. Much like the rest of Chicago, summers are hot and humid, while winters can be bitter cold and filled with snowstorms that quickly make you think of moving to Florida. If you can be prepared for the changes in weather, you still might the city pleasant to walk in.

Being a planned community, the terrain in London Town ranges from flat to very flat. While flat ground really doesn't present much of a challenge, there are so many sidewalks to walk on that you can take a different route every day and make your walk as long or short as you want to. The one thing that is missing is shade which can make for some very hot walks in the middle of a Chicago summer.

The community is also very close to the Bishop Ford Freeway and numerous rail lines, making it a little on the noisy side. The trick to being able to make the most of your walks is going to be making sure you get out early in the morning or later in the evening when traffic slows down and it starts to get a little quieter. With plenty of greenspaces, both you and your pup can look forward to lots of fun times together.

If there is one thing London Town is not missing, it's green areas. This seems to have been very much on the developers' minds as they laid out the plans. All of the townhomes have a small front yard and then access to a larger communal backyard with plenty of room for your pup to run around in as long as he is on a leash. As a community member, you do have to clean up after your pooch, but then you should be doing this anywhere.

At the southwestern corner is a decent-sized park where you and your pup can enjoy a little more serious on-leash playtime. There is also a dog play area in the center of the community for you and him to enjoy. The entire area seems to have been built with the idea of providing you, your family, and your family's furry friend with plenty of grass to enjoy.
