My name is Kathryn. I grew up in Batavia taking care of 3 dogs. I am a huge animal lover and have had the opportunity to pet sit for family and friends throughout my childhood/early adult life. I love being able to spend time outdoors with dogs and making sure they are well taken care of whether taking them for walks/runs, feeding, bathing, or grooming.

I’ve grown up with dogs. I adopted my girl Jill about 6 months ago, she turned 7 after the first month. My heart goes out to those older shelter pups and I’ve dedicated myself to rescuing those “less desirable” doggos. I consider any dog a puppy no matter their age. Love small and large dogs!

“I already love your dog.”

My husband and I have two dogs, a blue heeler and a whippet. We also have 2 small house cats. I'm a full-time student, so I'm only out of the house for about 4 hours every day at school. I have a cousin who walks with Wag! and we've just loved seeing her experience, so we were inspired to do Wag!. We are animal lovers and wish we could adopt more, but maybe when we have a bigger home someday. Send us all the doggos!

Hi! I’m Shannon and I love all dogs! I grew up with an 100 lb pitbull mix, so I am comfortable with all breeds, sizes and ages. I am a recent college graduate with lots of energy and very responsible. I took college courses relating to companion animal biology and care, so I am aware of dogs biological and behavioral needs. Walking is an important aspect of a dogs health. I am passionate about animals and thankful for the opportunity to help others create the best environment for their dogs!

Dog Walking in Genoa

Genoa, Illinois is a quiet little community that loves its kids and its pets. There is always something for you to see and do in the area. The township was founded right after the Revolutionary War. You can learn more about the town's history through the architecture and historical markers. In 1944, Genoa set up the Parks District, which can found in the heart of the city. You and your dog can take advantage of the walking and biking trails here. There are also many other fun activities for your family to enjoy. The children’s center is a great place to let your kids get creative while you and your dog go for a walk.

About thirty miles away, you can find Village of Machesney Park. It has a portion of the Rails-to-Trails network called Alpine Road Trail. The Alpine Road Trail is a paved trail that will lead you to the outskirts of Genoa. This path will take you through the town as well as some beautiful natural areas.

If you're looking for some off-leash fun, or a place to chow down with your hound, you'll need to travel outside Genoa. Don't fret just yet, though; dog-friendly fun is just a bone's throw away from Genoa!

If you want to eat somewhere with your best four-legged pal in tow, look no further than the heart of Genoa! Crumpet’s, a local lunch spot and bakery, has 3 outdoor, dog-friendly tables so you can eat while your pup is with you.
