“Dog hair is my glitter.”

Hi! I love and care for my clients' pets like they are my own! I carry private pet care insurance (in addition to insurance with Wag), and I'm a member of multiple organizations that focus on continued education for pet sitters and dog walkers. I retired from my position in quality control with the government in 2017, and I've been able to turn my passion for animals and love of the outdoors into my full time job. I look forward to meeting new furry friends!

Hello, I am a Marine reservist and the times when I am not training or working for my Marine Corps is when I love to stay active by dog walking/play. I have had a life long love of animals. I have worked for different doggie daycare/boarding/training facilities where I have gotten my kennel technician certificate. I have taken a pet massage class from a trade school, as well. I also have in my life a very special dog that my husband and I have had since she was a puppy and she is 8 years old. My family and I love to spend time outdoors with her, and I will bring that love to your fur babies. I believe you can't put a price on a piece of mind with your loved ones. With me, you can trust that I will put your pet's happiness, health, safety, and care first. Dogs are a joy! Thank you for your time!

Hello! For 4 decades, dogs have been my passion. Three years ago, I decided to finally take my professional life where I've always thought it belonged - into the dog care industry. I work for a doggie daycare/boarding facility in the afternoons and do dog walking in mornings & on weekends. I'm experienced with all sizes, breeds, and ages; and I'm CPR/first-aid certified. My own pack consists of a 9 y/o Plott, a 3 y/o Catahoula Leopard Dog, and a 2 y/o Tripawd Catahoula/German Shepherd mix.

Dog Walking in Prairieville

The people in the state of Louisiana have a clear preference for dogs over cats. Louisiana has one of the lowest cat ownership rates in the country. Only 25.9% of all citizens own at least one cat. Since the pet ownership in the state is not below the country average, it can be concluded that there are a fair amount of dogs in Louisiana and henceforth in the city of Prairieville.

Unfortunately, the people of Prairieville do not have access to their very own off-leash dog park as of yet. The closest off-leash dog area is approximately 7 miles away and located in Baton Rouge. The Burbank Dog Park is a large playground suitable for dogs of all sizes. The small dogs have their own area but are allowed in the other areas at owner’s risk. The area for large dogs has a pond and a ¼ mile hiking path.

There are various regular regional parks located in Prairieville, Louisiana with the most popular being the Oak Grove Community Center & Playground, Prairieville Park & Playground, and Paula Park & Playground. These areas are also accessible for dogs and their owners as long as they remember to bring a leash as these are multi-purpose recreational areas.

Gonzales has pretty strict leash laws, and the Gonzales Dog Park is the only public area your hound can get its workout on being on a leash. The park, which opened in 2016, is one acre of doggy heaven. It features an area for smaller dogs under 30 pounds and another area for larger dogs. You pup isn’t the only one who can get some exercise. A paved walking track that circles around the dog park allows you to get sweaty while your pup runs around in the fenced area. The park also comes equipped with water fountains for both you and your thirsty pup. The park is open from dawn to dusk, is free and requires no registration.
