My name is Randy and my wife and I recently moved from California to be closer to our 4 adult children. I recently retired from a career in firefighting with over 32 years in the fire service. At one point I successfully rescued a German Shepherd from a house fire. I love animals and have had dogs my entire life. I try to not overbook my walks to allow for extra time so I can provide quality service. I realize that your pup is a part of your family. I look forward to walking your dog.

I'm originally from St. Louis, but moved to the DMV last year. I grew up with a wonderful golden retriever named Grace, who I completely adored, so I am more than comfortable with dogs. Aside from dogs, some of my interests include studying international relations, cheering for my hometown Cardinals and Blues, and playing my violin.

Dog Walking in Indian Head

The town of Indian Head, Maryland has some interesting history. It is actually a peninsula that overlooks the Potomac River. The Indian tribe Mattawoman lived here when the first English settlers discovered it and began settling. The settlement was named Indian Head due to the Native American tribe that lived there and the landmark that the town sat on.

Indian Head is home to the Indian Head Trail, which is an easy hike for you and your furry friend. This trail is part of the Rails-To-Trails Conservancy, which converts unused rail lines into walking paths all across the country. This paved trail stretches 13.4 miles, but can be hiked in sections and accessed from several trailheads. Indian Head Trail is the pawfect place for a retreat in nature! Just be sure to keep your pal on a leash, and pack plenty of water and waste bags.

Indian Head does not have a lot of other amenities for dogs, but you can find even more puptastic activities, such as dog-friendly restaurants, dog parks, and shops to visit in the surrounding cities.
