Nothing is quite as relaxing as sitting with furred Fido on a calm bench in the park on a lazy Sunday morning. If that sounds right, Wheaton Regional Dog Park has that to offer. Wheaten Regional Dog Park features a fenced, off-leash park that allows your dog to enjoy that exhilarating run and playtime. The area has plenty of shade to provide that perfect ambiance to relax. And as always, don’t forget your poop bags so everyone can enjoy the park without an eye sore. Sligo Creek Trail is where you and Max can sweat up! Aside from getting a great exercise, your eyes can benefit from what is frequently referred as the most scenic trail in the region. Sligo Creek trail will eventually lead to Wheaton Regional Dog Park where you and Max can have a rest.

Another place to check out is Anacostia Tributary Trail System. This trail goes deeper into the woods and gives you a better experience of nature. It as well gives a glimpse of history as Adelphi Hill, a historic mill built in 1796, is along the path. Silver Spring has a lot to offer as a tourist attraction with is annual Silver Spring Jazz Festival drawing a crowd of over 20,000 every September.
