Dog Walking in Smiths Creek

Smiths Creek is a small town that sits in the southwestern part of the Kimball Township, and is known as the town where Thomas Edison was kicked off a train due to his experiments. There are no veterinarians in Smiths Creek, but there are two in nearby Kimball that your pup can visit for a healthy check-up.

The Kimball Township Park is the perfect spot to enjoy a day out with your dog. The park offers a pavilion for shade, a gazebo, picnic area, and a playground. Take a hike along the Wadhams to Avoca Trail with your furry pal. The trail is 12-miles long and starts in Avoca before it passes through Smiths Creek where you and Fido can hop on and get a walk in. The trail passes through rural farmland and offers a trail surface of asphalt and crushed stone to walk along. Along the trail, you will come across restrooms and campgrounds where you can stop and relax.

Your dog will have an amazing time in Smiths Creek alongside you.
