Dog Walking in Glendive

Glendive is the county seat for Dawson County. This rural community is where Big Sky meets the Badlands. With the Yellowstone River running through the western part of town, it is also the agricultural epicenter of eastern Montana. Glendive has played a big role in American West history; the Lewis and Clark expedition and General Custer both camped here back in the day.  This dog loving town also has a top notch veterinary clinic ready to help any pup that’s feeling under the weather.

Nestled in the heart of Glendive is the Merrill Avenue Historic District. If your pooch likes historical buildings, then a walk around this part of town will make their tail wag. This area has Gothic, Colonial Revival, contemporary, and Classical Revival architecture. As you stroll around your pup will pass City Hall, which is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. Your pal will also see a couple churches, a Masonic Temple, and the Glendive Milling Company.

Finish your walking tour off at Gust Hauf. Notice the restaurant’s funky sign before sitting down to enjoy a slice of cheesy pizza and craft beer. Your four legged buddy can join you on the outdoor patio.

Your furry BFF is going to love everything about Glendive!
