“Always put the dog first”

Hey there! My name is Christina, and my life has involved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was unable to have a pet dog, but that didn’t stop me from having a variety of other pets— birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, frogs, etc. Nowdays, I volunteer my time working with local rescue dogs at Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue. I’m in my second year of doing this. I also spend a lot of time with horses and am in my tenth year of riding!

Dog Walking in Holmdel

The charming township of Holmdel has so much to offer, from history to natural beauty. With sprawling parks, dog-friendly restaurants and a highly rated veterinary clinic, both you and your dog will have so much fun in Holmdel.

There are several parks worth checking out in Holmdel, but one of the best is Holmdel Park, where you will find 565 acres of greenery to explore. There are playgrounds, ponds, picnic areas and even an arboretum here, as well as ten miles of relatively easy walking trails to take you and Fido through the park.

At eight acres in size, Phillips Park is smaller but equally scenic. This is a pawtastic spot for a picnic, as well as a walk on one of the hiking trails surrounded by tall trees. This park also provides access to the Ramanessin Brook Greenway, a scenic path that stretches out for six miles.

If your pooch enjoys dining out, there are a couple of dog-friendly restaurants in Holmdel that you will both love. Patricia's of Holmdel specializes in authentic, handmade Italian cuisine, while the Cracked Olive Market cooks up meals that are ideal for eating on-the-go.

With so many pawsome walks to be had, and one-of-a-kind restaurants to eat at afterwards, Holmdel will no doubt keep both you and your pooch happy.

Although this is quite a busy area, the spacious Veterans Park is the pawfect place to go to escape urban life and surround yourself with greenery. Other than areas for sports facilities, the playground and picnic tables, the rest of the park is heavily forested, meaning that there will always be new and exciting smells to keep Fido's tail wagging.
