Camillus is a puptown that sits proudly in Onondaga County, just west of Syracuse, New York. Formed in 1799 and named after a Roman military leader, the Carmillus of today offers pawtastic recreational activities for those that love being outdoors in the sunshine. This is sure to excite dog owners and their pups too! For keeping your pooch happy and in good health, there is one veterinary clinic in Camillus, with plenty of other options and animal hospitals nearby in Syracuse.

In Camillus, there are plenty of pawsome parks you can visit for some fun with your four-legged friend! This includes the puptastic Erie Canal Park, which is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a leisurely stroll with your pooch. There are miles of sniff-tastic wooded paths you can follow, as well as beautiful views of the canal. All pups are welcome at Erie Canal Park, as long as they remain on leash. Other facilities here that the family can enjoy are the Sims Store Museum where you can learn about the canal, and a Steam Engine Exhibit where you can take a step back in time to the industrial revolution, though Fido may have to wait outside.
