“Walkin’ Rover all over!”

I walk my dogs every day, and in the 18 years that I have owned dogs, this has been my daily routine and joy. I personally trained my dogs to walk well on a leash. One of my dogs was two years old when I adopted him, and he was never trained to walk on a leash before. Now he loves to go on walks with his family. I would be an excellent walker for another dog owner. I am very reliable and responsible, and I treat my canine friends with kindness, respect, and love.

As I'm sure you already know, it's something quite special and unique. So if you would kindly allow me the opportunity, I'd very much like to meet your own furry friend. I promise to be responsible and give them a fun and healthy walk. See you soon!

“It’s all about your pooch!!”

Hi there! I’ve been a dog lover since childhood. I grew up with a terrier mix. I continued on to eventually add a black lab rescue to my family as we already had our family dog which was a Rescue. My last two dogs were both senior‘s. With some thought I decided to start my own Dog care business. I’d be honored to give your pup the special attention they deserve for our walk!

“Dog Tested, Owner Approved”

As a child, I was firmly a cat person and thought dogs were terrifying - but then we got one! Marla helped show me that the line between cat and dog lovers is meant to be blurred. While cats are still the only animal I have tattooed on my skin, the handful of dogs I've taken care of will always have a special place in my heart. But don't worry, there's still plenty of room left for your furry buddy too!

Dog Walking in Deer Park

Deer Park is a residential hamlet on Long Island. Compared to many East Coast settlements, Deer Park is relatively young, having been formed in 1853. For many decades prior to World War II, this vibrant community was a farming stronghold. At one point, it was well known for its dahlia crop. Today, it is thriving as the second most populated hamlet in the Town of Babylon. It even has two veterinary clinics.

If you’re feeling a little peckish, pack up your pooch and head to one of Deer Park’s dog friendly restaurants. Munch on some good old fashioned American fare from Johnny Rockets. Order a juicy burger, piping hot fries, and a thick shake, then pull up a seat at one of the outdoor tables so your pup can join you. For those nights when you’re craving Italian, Mama Sbarro’s Pizzeria Restaurant has you covered. Enjoy a slice of cheesy pizza or a plate full of pasta. This place only has a few patio tables, so grab one as soon as you get there. Finish your meal off with a tasty frozen treat from Rita’s Italian Ice. Get yours to go, or hang out with your pooch on the patio.

No bones about it, your doggo will love Deer Park!

This neighborhood is home to the Edgewood Oak Brush Plains Preserve, an 813-acre park just waiting to be explored. Leash up your pup and head over so she can get in some doggy cardio. The Edgewood Blue Hiking Trail is the main loop and clocks in at 2.7 miles through a beautiful pine forest. You can also walk your pooch around the 12 miles of paved bike paths, just keep in mind that you’ll be sharing the trail with cyclists. Your pooch won’t be the only critter in the preserve; birds, rabbits, and fox all call this place home.

Looking for a pawsome place to walk your dog? Pack up your pooch and head over to the Belmont Lake State Park. This park is conveniently located in North Babylon, a quick 10 minute drive from Deer Park. Your pup will have a tail waggin’ time as he trots around the lake and gets his heart rate pumping. There are 7.6 miles of trails that weave throughout the park, so you’ll have plenty of mileage for walking your pal. This park also features sport courts, ball fields, and boat rentals. Since dogs are not allowed in the picnic facilities or buildings, make sure you and your pup stick to the trails and natural areas.

If your canine companion is itching for a walk, make your way over to the Argyle Lake Park. Since this is a pup-ular spot for dog walkers, your pal will have the chance to meet some new four legged friends. Follow the paved path around the lake so your pooch can stretch his four legs. Be sure to check out the waterfalls and the gardens. After your walk, stop by Kilwin’s Chocolates for an ice cream cone or some gooey fudge. Get your treats to go, or hang out with your pup on the outside bench.

When Deer Park dogs want to let loose, they head over to the West Hills County Dog Park. This off leash area is located inside the West Hills County Park in the nearby town of Melville. Your pooch can ditch her leash and romp around with new four legged friends. There’s plenty of room for a game of chase or fetch. Benches and clean up bags are provided, and large trees give the canines some nice afternoon shade. All this fun does have a price; there is a weekend admission fee between Memorial Day and Labor Day. If you’d rather save your pennies, there are some puptastic trails in the main park area that welcome leashed pets.

It’s easy to see why local canines go mutts over the Blydenburgh Dog Park. This off leash area is tucked away inside Blydenburgh County Park in Smithtown. It spreads across two acres, giving four legged visitors room to dart and dash around. Since part of the park is in a wooded area, your pup’s sniffer will keep busy as he tries to located the resident squirrels. Large and small dog sections are available, as are water fountains, benches, and clean up bags. When your dog is finished playing, clip on his leash and check out the trails in the main park. This park will definitely make your pal a happy hound!
