I doubt you're ever gonna find anyone who loves dogs more than I do. I've lived with dogs my whole life, walked at least 100 of my friends dogs, read dog books, volunteered at the Humane society in Hawaii, donate to ASPCA monthly, and just love them like crazy. I'm used to walking between 35.000 to 45.000 steps a day and can't wait to start walking your little one.

Hi there. My name is Dan. I go to school at GW, and I'm looking to walk some local pooches to help pay for school. I'm new to the world of professional pet care, but I'm no stranger to caring for dogs. I have a basset hound mix named Bon Bon back home (who I miss like crazy) that I've loved and cared for the past 8 years. I've also had experience sitting and walking dogs for neighbors and relatives. I look forward to getting out to meet some new pups and brighten their days.

“Walkin’ Rover all over!”

I walk my dogs every day, and in the 18 years that I have owned dogs, this has been my daily routine and joy. I personally trained my dogs to walk well on a leash. One of my dogs was two years old when I adopted him, and he was never trained to walk on a leash before. Now he loves to go on walks with his family. I would be an excellent walker for another dog owner. I am very reliable and responsible, and I treat my canine friends with kindness, respect, and love.

Dog Walking in Island Park

The village of Island Park is geographically small, being only about 1.5 square miles, but is a lively village with a large sense of community. This village is located in Nassau County, New York, and is part of the outer barrier of Long Island. The village hosts many events throughout the year, like street festivals, movie nights, firework shows and summer concerts. Combined with the veterinary clinic in town, Island Park is a safe and fun place to raise a puppy!

Many of the village events are held at Masone Beach, which is considered the crown jewel of Island Park. This beach is located on the west end of town, along the scenic Hog Island Channel. While dogs aren’t allowed in the bathing areas of this beach, the surrounding park has much to offer well-behaved dogs and their humans. Here you can find playgrounds, a picnic area and gazebo. Dogs need to stay leashed and be picked up after in this park.

After all that time spent near the water, why not top off the day with some delicious seafood! Jordan Lobster Farms. Here you can dig into a soft shell crab along with a glass of wine on the waterfront deck with your canine companion. Call ahead to make sure one of the ten, full service dog friendly tables are available.

With all of these exciting, pet friendly things to do, Island Park is sure to get your dog’s tail wagging!
