This is a lovely neighborhood to walk through with your dog. The Colonial and Queen Anne homes have lots of adorable architectural details like sweet little front porches, gabled roofs, and brick or stone faces. Walking down these neighborhood streets is very pleasant. Tall, mature trees shade the sidewalk on both sides of the road and there is a good divider between sidewalk and road. Almost no yards have fences so you can enjoy the charming landscaping and walk your dog on a loose leash or enjoy being on wheels with your dog.
If you want a change from neighborhood streets, the attractive Forest Park runs along the entire south perimeter of Forest Hills for extensive forest exploration. To the east, the gorgeous Flushing Meadows Corona Park has a pleasant space around the Willow Lake. The trails that run through this park are a great place to cycle, skateboard, or rollerblade with your dog.
