I doubt you're ever gonna find anyone who loves dogs more than I do. I've lived with dogs my whole life, walked at least 100 of my friends dogs, read dog books, volunteered at the Humane society in Hawaii, donate to ASPCA monthly, and just love them like crazy. I'm used to walking between 35.000 to 45.000 steps a day and can't wait to start walking your little one.

Hi there. My name is Dan. I go to school at GW, and I'm looking to walk some local pooches to help pay for school. I'm new to the world of professional pet care, but I'm no stranger to caring for dogs. I have a basset hound mix named Bon Bon back home (who I miss like crazy) that I've loved and cared for the past 8 years. I've also had experience sitting and walking dogs for neighbors and relatives. I look forward to getting out to meet some new pups and brighten their days.

Hello, my name is Gideon. I had two dogs when I was a boy, and I have always loved them. As an adult, I personally rescued a 6-month old Pit Bull Terrier who had been abandoned in the street, and she was the best dog ever! Training and raising her taught me a lot about how dogs behave, and how to walk them responsibly. Thank you for reading my bio, I look forward to meeting and walking your dogs!

Ello! My name is Ashley, and I am a nature loving artist whose only desire in life is to love and be loved. I am passionate about creating things and exploring the wonders of life, as well as trying to change the world one smile at a time. I have grown up around many different animals and currently have a ferret who is more like my daughter than my pet. When I can I take her everywhere with me and do all that I can to make sure she has the best life that she can possibly have. It is my goal to open up a cuddle business where I offer love and support, reiki, therapy, and art lessons to those that would like to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. I have a background in psychology that I use everyday to understand all the living beings around me to adapt to the best possible way to interact with them as well as understand what makes them tick as a being.

Dog Walking in Roslyn Heights

Lovingly dubbed “The Heights” by locals, New York’s Roslyn Heights neighborhood is located in northern Staten Island. Although Roslyn Heights is its own village, as designated by the Census Bureau, it’s actually considered to be one part of the greater Roslyn area, which includes several other villages, such as Greenvale, East Hills, and Roslyn Harbor. That’s good news for you, though! That means there’s plenty to do within the small community.

While Roslyn Heights is a great place for humans to explore, it isn’t quite as good of an option for our four-legged friends. Roslyn Heights has no dog-friendly dining options, and there are also no dog parks located in the immediate area. Have no fear, though! There are several options located within thirty minutes of the town, so you’ll never have to go too far to find one. Roslyn Heights has three vets in the immediate area, allowing your family to pick the doctor that works best for your pooch – and for you, of course. If you’re looking for a new place to explore with your dog, check out these places located near Roslyn Heights. You definitely won’t regret it!

Eisenhower Park

Less than fifteen minutes away from Roslyn Heights, you and your dog can visit Eisenhower Dog Park, located within Eisenhower Park. Found in Westbury, this dog park has separate sections for differently sized dogs. It’s a completely fenced-in location, so you don’t have to worry about even the most mischievous of dogs sneaking away. It’s worth noting that this park can become very muddy after a good rain, so if you don’t want to deal with a dirty dog, you might want to visit elsewhere. Bring along some water and waste disposal bags, and get ready to have a great time!

Just thirty minutes away from Roslyn Heights is the historic neighborhood of Auburndale in Queens. Known for its size, this neighborhood’s Cunningham Park Dog Run is sure to tire out even the most energetic pups as they run around and make plenty of friends of their own species. Like most dog parks, there are separate sections for large and small dogs. If it’s been raining, be aware that there’s a good chance it’ll be muddy. Make sure to bring water and waste disposal bags; none are provided. There’s also seating for pup parents to relax on.

Sands Point

Under five miles north of Roslyn, you’ll find Sands Points Preserve in Port Washington. Sands Point Preserve is the perfect place for history buffs to go explore with their pooch. Enjoy going for a walk around the grounds of a castle; you can’t go inside, but the view is pretty awe-inspiring on its own. If you want to do more exploring, go for a hike around the cliffs. Make sure to bring along your phone so you can take pictures. You’re also need to bring a leash; your dog must stay on one for the duration of your walk. There are no exceptions to this rule.

Sagamore Hill National Historic Site - Oyster Bay

Sagamore Hill National Historic Site is best known for being the former home of Theodore Roosevelt, and today, you can go explore the site with your canine companion. This landmark is only twenty minutes away from Roslyn Heights, and your pooch will definitely think it’s worth the drive. Fido can explore the grounds with you, and you can also take him for a walk on the nature trail. This trail leads straight to the shoreline, so your pup can splash around in the water. Make sure to bring along his leash, as he’ll need to stay on it, and some waste disposal bags.

Bay Terrace

Ruffly fifteen minutes from Roslyn Heights is Bay Terrace’s Fort Totten Park, where you and your dog can enjoy Little Bay Dog Run together. Bring along a ball or your dog’s favorite toy for a game of fetch or tug-o-war. With separate play areas for large and small dogs, you don’t have to worry about your dog playing with dogs that are too big or small. The ground of this park is mostly dirt and mulch, so it tends to be muddy after a hard rain; you may want to bring along a towel or a blanket, at least. Waste disposal bags aren’t provided, so make sure to have some on hand.
