Dexter Falls is a residential neighborhood located in northwest Columbus, Ohio. There are shopping centers and commercial areas in the Tuttle and Shannon Heights neighborhoods. Shops, restaurants, and other services available in these areas can be reached on foot.

If you enjoy walking your dog daily, be prepared with warm outerwear during the winter months. The season is cold and snowy, but you can still take your dog out regularly if you are well kitted out! Footwear with good traction will be an asset when walkways are icy after recent snowfalls or during thaw-freeze cycles. Summer months are warm and lovely for walks with your pup, but severe thunderstorms can be an issue. Check local forecasts to make sure you don't get caught in the rain! An umbrella won't do you much good when high winds are present and these storms can be dangerous, so pedestrians should take shelter when they are imminent.

Dexter Falls is bordered by Hayden Run Road on the north, Interstate 270 on the west, Dublin Road on the east, and Davidson Road on it’s south side. The west side is dominated by condominium complexes. These housing developments have communal green spaces, paved walking paths, and artificial lakes for people and their pups to enjoy.

The rest of the Dexter Falls district is made up of single-family homes. Yards are well landscaped with trees and lawns. The east side of the neighborhood has large single-family homes on rural-like country properties.

There are sidewalks in most areas of the neighborhood with grassy berms that create a wide, safe walkway with soft footing for residents to stroll the district with their pets. The terrain in Dexter Falls is flat and there are no steep hills to worry about hiking up.  If you or your dog is not able to climb hills, this is good news.
