Indian Hills is a small residential community located in the northern suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. Columbus has over two million residents and is a diverse and exciting city. Columbus is home to the Ohio State University, professional hockey and soccer teams, a thriving theater and cultural district, and the headquarters for Nationwide Mutual Insurance, Wendy's, Red Roof Inn, and White Castle.

Indian Hills has a few churches, an urgent care clinic, access to public transportation, several greenways, and a few restaurants, but this community is largely residential. Most residences are standalone, single-family homes.

The weather in Columbus, and in Indian Hills, varies by the four distinct seasons. The summer months tend to bring plenty of heat and high levels of humidity, so always make sure you have water for both you and Fido while out walking! The winters are cold and drier and snowfall is relatively light compared to other midwestern cities like Chicago or Cleveland.

Walking through Indian Hills should be an enjoyable experience. This neighborhood has some sidewalks, is relatively flat with only a few gradual changes in elevation, and, given its residential nature, should not be too overcome with heavy or dangerous traffic. Unfortunately, not all of the residential areas have sidewalks, so you and Fido will need to share the road with motorists and other pedestrians.

While being so close to downtown Columbus, Indian Hills is largely made of artificial terrain, however, there are several spacious greenways both in the neighborhood and nearby, so it doesn't feel like a completely urban environment.

The boundaries of Indian Hills include West Dublin Granville Road to the north, Olentangy River Road to the east, Linworth Road and Larkstone Drive to the south, and railroad tracks and Railroad Street to the west. Linworth Road is the most heavily trafficked roadway through the neighborhood.

Even given the smaller size of Indian Hills, there are still plenty of greenways for you and Fido to explore while out exercising! Neighborhood parks include Linworth Road Community Park and Shaker Square Park, but there are also plenty in neighboring communities that should be an easy walk away.

Linworth Road Community Park, the largest greenway in Indian Hills, is located in the northwest corner of the neighborhood. This 13-acre park is home to walking trails, a picnic area, baseball and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, and a playground. Other nearby parks include Godown Park, Antrim Park, Rush Run Park, Broadmeadows Park, Olentangy Park, Kenney Park, Anheuser-Busch Sports Park, Perry Park, and Sycamore Hills Park.

Godown Park, which is immediately adjacent to the west side of Indian Hills, is actually a large dog park! This 10-acre space has fenced-in areas dedicated to both large and small dogs, a dog water fountain, and a significant walking path!
