Tuttle is a commercial and residential neighborhood located on the northwest side of Columbus, Ohio. A large shopping mall and commercial area located on the north side of the community is within easy walking distance. The areas have a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and services for locals to access, however, the walkability is impaired somewhat as pedestrian ways are limited.

Dog walkers in Tuttle enjoy warm, dry summers that are usually not too hot. Summer storms can affect your plans for a walk with your pup. Winters are cold and snowy, so be sure to have a warm coat and footwear handy for chilly days so your pup can still go for a regular walk.  Make sure your footwear has good grip for icy walkways and, if your pup is likely to get cold, make sure you get your dog a jacket and boots too!

Tuttle is bordered by Interstate 270 on the west side, Blazer Parkway on the east side, Hayden Run Road on the south side, and Park Center Circle on the north side. The residences in the region consist of an apartment, condominium, and multi-family housing complexes. These housing complexes have communal greenways with artificial lakes, athletic facilities, and paved walking paths.

Sidewalks providing access to commercial areas and between developments are not prevalent, so pedestrians traveling between areas can use grassy berms where present or may need to walk on local streets. When necessary, face oncoming vehicles and keep your dog securely leashed.

Tuttle is situated on level ground and there are no hills for pedestrians and pets to navigate while walking around the region. The commercial area on the north side is paved with little landscaping, large parking lots, noise, and traffic, so these areas are not desirable for walks with your canine companion.

A short walk to the southeast will take Tuttle residents and their pups to the Hayden Falls Park. This unique 2-acre park is located on the Scioto River and has a gorge with a creek running through it. A 35-foot waterfall is located on the creek and a boardwalk, stairs, and lookout provide views of the falls and waterways. Natural flora and fauna abound in this park, so keep your dog leashed so as not to disturb local wildlife. There are a few picnic tables to enjoy a snack before heading west back to Tuttle.

A short walk northeast will take residents and their furry friends to Llewellyn Park. Llewellyn Park is divided into two sections and has tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a paved path. Paved walkways extend into the community outside the park and make excellent walking paths for you and your pup to take a stroll.
