If you and Fido aren’t from Marlow, take a walk downtown and you’ll be feeling like locals in no time! This small town has a furrifically friendly reputation, a clean and welcoming Main Street, and excellent schools. Marlow also has two veterinary clinics in town to ensure your pup stays heathy!
One of Marlow’s most pawpular parks, Redbud Park, is a woofderful place to visit with your leashed dog! You and your pup will love all there is to see and sniff on the park’s half-mile Creekwalk Trail that meanders through the park with historical interpretive signs along the way. On your walk, you and your pooch can learn about the outlaws that used to hideout in the days of the Wild West! The park also has lots of grass, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, and a huge western-themed playground for kids!
Taylor Lake is another furrific area to check out with your pooch! On the outskirts of town, this favorite Marlow recreation area has 227 acres of natural area for you and your leashed dog to explore! Take a stroll with Fido along the lake’s shoreline and enjoy the views of the pristine waters. It’s a pawpular spot for fishing, boating and camping!

If you and your pooch are wondering where to walk in Marlow, check out the town’s namesake neighborhood! There is a pawesome one-mile walking path in this neighborhood’s Miller Park. The path zig-zags through this beautiful community green space, through open grassy areas and trees. There’s also a woofderful pond where you can fish or where your pup can dip his or her toes in. Miller Park has picnic pavilions, too! For more furrific fun with Fido in this neighborhood, check out the scents and sights around the playfields at Stone Park and Southwest Park. This neighborhood is also home to Red Bud Park!
There’s all sorts of fun to be had in Duncan’s 11thand Pine Street neighborhood, about nine miles from Marlow! Fuqua Park is this area’s pawsome community green space that has a variety of things to see and do. Your leashed pooch will love walking with you in the park’s grassy area that is dotted with mature trees. On your walk with Fido, you’ll see a retired locomotive that now serves as a mini-museum, plus an oil derrick display! Fuqua Park also has picnic tables, a gazebo, restrooms and a soothing water garden. For added fun for kiddos, the park has a handful of amusement rides, too!
Explore Duncan’s Whisenant Park neighborhood about nine miles south of Marlow! This pawsome neighborhood’s namesake park has a woofderful walking path that’s great for pups and people who want to get some exercise! Particularly pawpular for morning walkers, the paved Whisenant Park walking path runs the length of the park near a small creek and through trees and grass. You and your leashed pup might even see some wildlife like deer, squirrels, raccoons and an array of birds on your jaunt! Get a few laps in on the trail and then enjoy a respite on one of the park’s many benches. Whisenant Park also has a playground for any two-legged children you may have with you.
Duncan’s N 5th Street/ E Camelback Road neighborhood is another furrific area to visit with your leashed dog! This quiet residential neighborhood is just nine miles from Marlow, and it’s home to a pawsome park! Hillcrest Park has a huge open grassy field where you can exercise your furry friend, plus lots of trees where you and your pooch can chill out in the shade. The park also has lighted tennis courts where your pooch is sure to get excited when he or she sees all those tennis balls bouncing around! There is a splash pad and playground for two-legged children, plus a picnic pavilion with barbecue grills.
Two pawsome parks are just waiting for you and your pooch to visit in Duncan’s Peck neighborhood! Leash your dog and head to the area’s Mighty Might Park first. This small, but puptastic park is a woofderful spot for a picnic as there are several tables nestled in the shade of a handful of mature trees. There is plenty of grass for your pup to roll around in, too. Mighty Might Park also has a playground. McCasland Rotary Park is located a few blocks away in this residential neighborhood. There, you and your pup can play and romp in the park’s large grassy playfields!
