This residential neighborhood has a mixture of low rise apartments, single-family homes, row houses and multi-family housing units.  Many homes are older character homes or historic buildings as this residual urban area has a long history of development. The historic development of the area means landscaping is mature with plenty of greenery, hedges, lawns, and other features that give the area a suburban-like feel. There is a large highway and interchange on the south border that is not pedestrian-friendly with high-speed traffic, noise, and limited pedestrian access. This area should be avoided when walking with your pup.

A train track runs along the west side of the neighborhood and creates a barrier to pedestrians in the region. The neighborhood has some hilly terrain and there are some gentle inclines and steep sections on some roads.  If you or your dog has mobility issues, you may want to avoid steep inclines that are difficult to hike up.
