Dog Walking in Crossville

Crossville, Tennessee's motto is simple: "It's just better here." A town with a long history and a variety of recreational and cultural attractions, Crossville is beloved by many. With tons of opportunities to explore the town and the surrounding natural areas, it's easy to bring Fido along for the journey!

The Crossville Dog Park is open each day during daylight (for reference, take note, there is no evening lighting). A fenced-in area surrounded by wooded paths, the park provides access to rocky streams and beautiful wildflowers. It's a doggie dream - space to play off-leash and so much to see.

If you're looking to hit the trails, you won't be out of options any time soon. The Byrd Lake, Cumberland Plateau, and Byrd Creek Trail is a 4-mile loop that is a peaceful, gently sloping path that offers scenic views from a large dam. For something easier, the 5-mile Pioneer Short Loop is a good choice (especially for four-legged friends who tend to be couch potatoes)!

Want to reward your furry best friend with something sweet? Crossville is home to Joshua's Pet Treat Bakery! Not only does this shop craft healthy, all-natural snacks for Fido, but it was founded, and is currently run, by special-needs adults with intellectual disabilities.
