I currently have a Lab/Irish Setter mix as well as a pug mix that I love and care for and dogsit many others who I treat as my own. I’ve worked with dogs on a somewhat professional level as a handler at Taming the Wild. From the knowledge I’ve gathered over the years about them, I’m able to understand temperament changes, body language, etc and will use those skills to insure that your dog is safe in my hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!

“They're good dogs Brent”
I've been taking care of dogs my entire life, and in that time only one dog has never warmed up to me, however she still bites members of her own family from time to time. I promise to take fantastic care of your dog and make sure they get a good walk in. I should have no problems walking large dogs as I've managed to always maintain control over a sweet but wildly energetic pit bull that I take care of. I look forward to walking your dog!

Hello! I work at my local police headquarters. I have had 2 dogs in my lifetime. They were both Shih Tzus. I've been around many other dogs and have lived with a blue healer-husky mix. I know how rough some dogs can be and also how sweet others are. I love all dogs equally and plan to always show my appreciation for them with love and care!
Oakland is a small, but growing suburb of Memphis that began as a mercantile shop and stop on the stage road between Memphis and Raleigh. This puptown loves its pets, and they are very well taken care of by the Animal Care Hospital. They are always ready to look after your pup when he needs medical attention.
Oakland's Parks provide beautiful natural areas for its citizens and pups to explore. Enjoy a leashed walk at the Oakland Woods Park on their 1250 ft. sniff-tastic walking trail that encircles a stocked pond for fishing and exploring. Your pup will love the chance to check out the water and look for fish or birds that frequent the pond. Ready for more? Grab your leash and put on your walking shoes to enjoy the extensive walking trails at the Northwoods Park. Your pup will yelp with joy for the opportunity to go for a stroll or sniff around the pond. Bring your lunch along and sit in one of the benches at the edge of the pond to enjoy the serenity of the park and its fountain.
Stop in and enjoy the beauty of Oakland when you’re travelling in the Memphis area- you and your pup will have a pawrific time!
The Oakland Town Park has a 1300-foot paved walking trail just waiting for you and your pup to get your leash and go walking. The trail takes you around a pond which is stocked with fish. When traveling to Oakland, stay at the Oakland Inn, a dog-friendly hotel. Oakland Inn welcomes up to two small pups for an additional fee per night to stay in your room.

Grove Park is just 24 miles from Oakland in Germantown. This dog-tastic park is a great place for a nature walk while getting some good exercise for your pooch. There are benches along the walkway in case you need a short rest before Fido does. Benches are also located near the lake so your pup can explore the water's edge.
