Enjoy the mild Texas weather in the rest of the neighborhood three seasons of the year. Get used to walking with your furry friend in the early morning hours of the summer to beat the Texas heat. Winter, spring, and fall can find you and your pup enjoying the changing weather patterns with only a few crazy thunderstorms or rogue ice storms that can shut the city down.
It seems no neighborhood in Dallas is immune to the perils of automotive traffic. Gus Thomasson through Casa View is heavy on the automotive traffic side and a place you and your pup will want to obey pedestrian traffic laws. Keep a tight leash near Ferguson as well. In the residential sections, speed limits will slow down, but Dallas neighborhood planners love their back alleyways for back garage entrances. Avoid walking with your pup in these alleyways. They are tempting because of the misconception that they hold less traffic.
Cotillion Park a 6.6-acre green space over on Barnes Bridge Road. This park offers some amazing open green lawns and garden areas for you and you pup to enjoy some long leash training or fetch.
The Dallas Athletic Club also resides in this neighborhood. It is an impressive 300+ acre membership-only facility. It is not somewhere that you and your pup can roam around but just being in the neighborhood adds to the green space and natural feel of the area.
