El Tivoli Place is a very modern area of downtown Dallas, Texas. Although there may not be as many natural views in the area as some people would like, the overwhelming business and food options usually balance this out enough. Everything is so close in a big city like this that, not only can you walk to most places, but it is actually recommended as a way to avoid traffic. This is great for locals who can save their car for further away driving and add some physical activity to their daily routine.

Bringing your pup along for some of these walks is also a great way to save time and get your furry friend active, but what kind of business would possibly let your dog in? How about a pet shop! Going to local groomers, vets, and pet supply stores will not only give them a great walk, but also a bit of well deserved puppy pampering along the way.

Although El Tivoli Place very much resembles the traditional flat landscape and artificiality of neighborhoods in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the one saving grace of the area is Coombs Creek. This is partially because the water itself is a beautiful natural landscape that creates some hilly terrain, but mostly because creeks tend to attract parks.

Most of the creek lines, in the Dallas area especially, are packed full of very nice parks and greeneries and Coombs is no different. These great parks add some color back to the area with plenty of beautiful green open spaces, bushes and trees with unique and beautiful blooms, and plenty of park activities for the whole family. Although these parks are a must see, there is also plenty of artificial landscapes for city lovers. Whether your perfect dog walk is next to water, wide open fields, neighborhoods lined with trees, or skyline views, this area has got the perfect spot for you.

The local Coombs Creek does help increase the number of parks some, however, there is no denying that this area is highly artificial overall and does not have a huge number of exciting parks. This is partially just a side effect of living in West Texas, but it is also affected by this neighborhood's location at the very end of the creek. Although there are still some, a large majority of the parks attached to the creek are further up towards the middle of the stream.

That being said, the neighborhood parks that are there are very well maintained and safe, making them the perfect place for certain residents. Martin Weiss Park is one of the more activity based options featuring basketball, volleyball, tennis courts, a baseball field, a pool, a playground, and picnic areas. Oak Cliff Founders Park is another unique option with skyline views, lots of beautiful trees, butterfly gardens, and a trail.
