On the very outer western edge of Dallas, Texas, there is a very exciting little neighborhood known as Hampton Hills. Although it may seem like any other Dallas neighborhood from afar, this great neighborhood really stands out thanks to its much higher levels of nature than what is normal for Dallas. Although this is great for dog walking, this isn't always the best for local commerce. There is simply not as many options when it comes to businesses in the area and unfortunately, pet services are affected by that.

Although this can be very inconvenient for some residents who have to go out of their way to get what their pup needs, there are a few very nice local options that ease the burden a bit for some. PetSmart and Petco Animal Supplies are both really great to have around because they ease the burden substantially by providing grooming, check ups, training, and a well stocked pet supply area.

This area is a unique find in the Dallas-Fort Worth region because it is surrounded by much more nature than normal. This is partially due to the local Lake Viridian which not only brings exciting elements of its own, but has also become the home of several local parks and greenways which have branched out all throughout the neighborhood. This is exciting for residents who love the suburban feel of Dallas but want a bit less artificiality than the traditional Dallas neighborhood.

There are also slightly more hilly areas in this region largely due to the lake. However, in general, the area is still very flat and, for those who like the flat terrain, it is still very easy to find several options that keep you on it. This area has a great array of options for pet walkers. Residents have the freedom to go anywhere from down by the lake to just staying in the neighborhood.

This area has a much higher amount of high quality parks than most in the DFW region. This is partially due to the fact that not all of these locations are the standard neighborhood parks that most are so used to seeing in Dallas. However, there still are plenty of neighborhood parks for those who prefer them.

One of the largest neighborhood parks in the area is Clarence Thompson Park. Although it only has two playgrounds, a picnic area, a practice field, and a parking lot, the amount of open green space is incredible and you and your dog will absolutely love it.

River Legacy Park and River Legacy Park East are both great ways to view the beautiful Lake Viridian. They also house miles of hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, a hands-on science center, a large forest, and a playground. A final location worth mentioning is the very cool and modern Richard Greene Linear Park.
