Melshire Estates is a very classical and high end neighborhood just about as far north as you can go and still be within Dallas, Texas. Although many would assume that the distance from Dallas means a decrease in shops and businesses, this area is unique in the fact that this assumption is not correct. This community really prides itself on being convenient and thriving, so residents always have plenty of options when it comes to commerce. This is also very helpful to pup owners who want convenient and fast options for all of their pet's needs.

It also helps that the higher income of the area attracts businesses that are usually more likely to give you good results and great customer service. Some of the best groomers in the area include Prestonwood Pet Services and Pampered Pups. A great option for any health needs your pet may face is Cornerstone Animal Clinic.

This town is very standard of the Dallas-Fort Worth area in that it is incredibly flat and largely artificial. Although this may seem quite unpleasant or unexciting for some, it can actually be really great for others. The unique set up of a Dallas, Texas neighborhood really frames who has been living there for decades. This is because the mix of flat land, rows upon rows of houses shaped into little cul-de-sacs, and neighborhood parks.

The lack of outdoor adventure or lack of more challenging terrain may cause some to flee while the suburban vibe may also turn away some city slickers. However, the neighborly approach of the neighborhood along with well-maintained and child-friendly parks make this paradise for some. Still, the flat topography alone attracts others who love to be outdoors but don't want the extra strain of having to navigate large hills. It also generally makes most trails safer for young children.

Like so many in the Dallas area, there is a wealth of neighborhood parks in this area providing a safe and family-friendly place to take your pet. Although this is very helpful, unfortunately, there are very few parks that are not traditional neighborhood parks which can make it quite challenging to find something unlike any other park in the area.

However, for those who just want a pleasant, safe, and well maintained place to take their pup, the possibilities are endless here. Jamestown Park is a great example of that with basketball courts, a baseball field, a playground, and picnic tables. Another great option is Anderson Bonner Park. This great park follows White Rock Creek with several trails lining the whole length of the creek.

Churchill Park is also very nice, featuring sports fields and courts, picnic areas, play areas, and a community center. These are just a few of the award winning parks available to locals.
