Yankee Hill is located in downtown Milwaukee and offers a great place for you and your pup to take a nice, safe, and scenic walk together!  Lace up your shoes and grab Fifi or Fido's leash and take to the city streets. Most of the buildings you pass pre-date 1930 and are of Gothic, Italian, and Greek Rival architectures. You will pass by many local stores such as the New Deal Fruit Market, the Ogden Theater, and Sanders Drug Store which are filled with friendly residents. Feel like taking a break? Grab a quick bite at one of the area's outdoor dining destinations where your furry friend can enjoy a nice, cold bowl of water and be happy to clean up any food you may 'accidentally' drop on the ground.  With the right destinations in your daily plan, you can have a great day exploring Yankee Hill with your best friend!

Yankee Hill is mainly flat but it does have some rolling hills that you and your pup will walk up and down as you explore the city. There a few sights you will want to check out as you wind your way through the city streets. You will pass by two of the area's local grand hotels: The Astor and The Knickerbocker on the Lake, both on Juneau St. Meanwhile, you can also check out Joan Antido Church on North Cass and the Lincoln City for the Arts on East Knapp. Be sure to clean up after your leashed pup along your way and do your part to help keep Yankee Hill beautiful.

While out on your walk, you'll be pleased to find a few eateries to check out with your pup at your side. While pedestrian walkways can get a little crowded during peak hours, don't be afraid of exploring the busier sections of town!

Time to go play! You and your leashed pup will love spending time together at Juneau Park. It sits on a bluff that overlooks Lake Michigan and is a must-see for everyone. There is a lakefront walking path where you and your furry friend can explore and unwind and many benches to simply sit and relax!  Be sure to clean up after your doggo and bring plenty of doggy doo bags with you. There is a lagoon where you can feed the ducks as long as you keep your pup under control and don't let them chase the duckies. Along with that, you have lots of open green spaces for you and your dog to lay down a blanket and relax the day away. Bring your lunch or snacks to enjoy an outdoor picnic, but be a responsible paw-parent and keep your dog on their leash while inside the park!
