What is Wag?

Wag! gives you on-demand access to experienced dog handlers in your community you can hire for dog walking, dog sitting, or dog boarding 7-days a week.

Why should I use Wag?

Dogs require daily mental and physical activity to stay happy and healthy. Wag! allows you to have the freedom you want without neglecting your dog's needs.

Is Wag! really on-demand?

Yes! Wag! only shows you walkers near you who are guaranteed to be available when you need them. During peak hours, most on-demand services are filled within 30 minutes of booking.

When are walkers available to walk my dog?

Walks are available 6am -11pm everyday. For early morning or late night walks, we recommend booking a few hours in advance to ensure a walker will be available for your pup.

Who will be walking my dog?

Wag! walkers are people in your community with dog handling experience. Our walkers are passionate animal lovers with a serious dedication safety and and well-being. Many have been life long dog walkers, vet techs, shelter volunteers, Humane Society advocates and much more! You can learn more about the walkers in your area by clicking any profile on the home-screen map.

Is my dog safe? Do you screen your walkers?

Yes! Trust and safety are our top priorities. We only select the best-of-the-best to become Wag! Walkers. We screen, background check and test all our walkers' experience to ensure you get top quality people you can trust, and feel comfortable with walking your dog. In fact, fewer than 5% of applicants make the cut to become a Wag! Certified Walker. Likewise, the app let's you see how the walk is going every step of the way and all walks, boardings, and sittings are also insured and bonded.

Can I meet my walker first?

Yes! For recurring walks, you can schedule a meet-and-greet with your walker so you know your pup is in good hands.

Can the walker be the same person each day, so my dog gets used to him/her?

Yes, if you set up a recurring schedule you will get the same person each day! As you review your walkers with 5 stars you'll have the option to prioritize them for future scheduled, or recurring walk requests.

What if I have more than one dog?

If you have more than one dog in your household, we will walk all of them together upon request. Each additional dog in your household is $5 extra per walk.

What if my dog has special needs?

No problem. You can note any special needs arrangements your dog requires in the final walk-booking screen.

Do you walk my dog with other people's dogs?

No, we don't pack walk your dog with other dogs, or do group discounts. Wag! is a personal dog walking service and we only serve one customer at a time.

Are off leash dog walks or exercise activities available?

All Wag! walks are on-leash, unless you specifically request otherwise. Any off-leash activities are provided exclusively at the owner's risk, as Wag's insurance policy does not cover off-leash activities.

How do I rate a dog walker if I have never met him/her?

The rating is based on each walk experience. During the walk you get to see the GPS map and after the walk you get the report card with the write up, photo, and additional information. In addition, when you get home, you'll notice your dog is happy and well-cared for. After the walk is complete, you can rate the walker in the app and it shows up on the walker's profile. You can also leave a review comment.

How much does a Wag! dog walk cost?

Wag! is the only on-demand dog care service company with fixed pricing. Pricing is determined by market. On average, a 30-minute dog walk on Wag! is $20-25.

What if I'm not home?

Wag! provides free lock boxes to securely store your key somewhere accessible to your walker, allowing her/him to safely gain access to your home. You can also facilitate the access/key exchange yourself, or you can leave special instructions for the walker in the app if you have a preferred method of entry.

Is my home safe?

Absolutely. Wag! is committed to creating a community dog owners trust. Your home is protected up to $1,000,000 when you book a Wag! dog walking, or sitting service.

What if a walker asks me to book outside of Wag?

Walks booked outside of Wag will NOT be covered by insurance. You should report any walker who tries to create a side-arrangement.

How often should I use Wag?

Each dog is unique. Most dogs require a 30-minute walk per day, however larger and more active breeds should get a 1 hour walk per day. Check out our dog exercise calculator to learn more about exercise needs and recommendations for your specific dog breed.
