After being shown a bit of love, Bickerdike Square Park is a park that went through a metamorphosis in the past few years. It went from being known as a slightly run down “loafer’s garden”, to a place where neighborhood families, and their dogs, love to hang! This lovely neighborhood park has plenty of grassy areas, and offers a wooderful view of the skyline, including Willis Tower. It’s a great place to enjoy some fresh air and greenery with your canine companion!
This park is very pawpular among the neighborhood doggos, so be prepared to make some furry friends! The park is mostly fenced off, and has a separate area for children to play, and a section for the dogs. Because of this set up, many pet parents let their pooches off-leash in this park. Keep in mind that this is not a dog park, and the signs state that your pupper needs to stay leashed.
Along with the open grassy areas, this park has pretty flowers beds, trees, and benches. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic, or a good book in some natural surroundings with your best pal. Don’t forget the dog treats for your good boy or girl! There is a children’s play area as well, so why not bring along the family? Whether you’d like to chat with the neighbors and meet their dogs, or enjoy some peaceful solitude, this park is a great place to enjoy a sense of community.
Dogs are welcome here as long as they follow proper petiquette. Don’t forget the waste bags, and be prepared to stoop and scoop! This park attracts many families and their fur-babies, so be sure your doggo is respectful to everyone. This way the park can remain a safe and clean haven for all.
Bickerdike Square Park is scenic little neighborhood park gets families raving and tails wagging every time!
