Are you and your canine companion looking for a new park to hang out? If you are in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, you should check out Bradford Park on Faunce Street. The park is dog furiendly, and is considered an on-leash dog park, where many community pups come to socialize, leashed of course.
Featuring seven acres, this furrific park is essentially a big open grassy area lined with large oaks and pine trees, with plenty of space for you and Fluffy to play catch with a ball or frisbee. A stroll through the park is lovely as well. During the summer, there are sometimes kiddie pools filled with water for pups to splash in, or toys left for the dogs to play with. Other pawsome amenitites include benches to relax on, and a restroom available for your convenience.
The park features plenty of trash bins, but no doggie waste bags or drinking water, except for the water in the restrooms, so be sure to bring suppplies, such as a bowl for your pup's convenience. It's best to bring your own water, especially in the winter when the water is turned off to protect the pipes from freezing. Your canine kid should also be up to date on their vaccinations and treated for fleas and ticks.
Whether your fur buddy is large or small, furry or furless, they are welcome at Bradford Park and so are your children. However, an adult must be present, and you are not allowed more than three dogs per person. It can get a little crowded on the weekends during the warmer months, so if you and Fluffy are looking for some new friends, that is the time to go.
For a short walk, or an afternoon adventure, your pup will love spending time in Bradford Park!
