The city of Chicago is a bustling area with a lively downtown and retail section, and dozens of neighborhoods that make up the suburban side of the city. Although packed to the brim with homes, buildings, and people, there are just as many pups in the city. The city has plenty of dog-friendly parks to enjoy, including Bradley Park, where pups can enjoy a nice time outside while on a leash.
Bradley Park is also known as Josephine Bradley Park, and is located in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood. The park boasts over 4 acres of land, with a nice open and spacious plot in the middle that is surrounded by trees and amenities. There's a clubroom for kids with restrooms available to the public, along with recreational fields like two baseball diamonds, enclosed tennis courts, and a lit up basketball court. From the parking lot, you and Fido can enjoy a nice walk along the paved trail that encircles the park, providing access to lots of shade and dog-friendly amenities such as water fountains, trash bins, benches, and picnic tables.
The trail opens up to the open space that you and your pup can play in, or you can take them to play off-leash in the fenced-in tennis or basketball court when it's not in use by teams playing. Additionally, there are also open fields available to play fetch or to run around in with your pup, but remember to pick up after your pup with clean-up bags you'll have to bring yourself.
Although not fenced-in fully, this place makes a great and cozy spot to take your pup out for a walk or some play time, where you can enjoy lots of space to run, play, or just some time to walk around in the shade on a hot day. Whichever you choose, you and Fido will be happy to spend your time here.
