If your pooch is begging for a walk, grab the leash and head over to Crescent Park. Nestled in the Beverly/Morgan Park Community, this pawsome green space is a woofderful place to spend some quality time with your canine companion.
If your doggo enjoys an invigorating walk at sunrise,
Crescent Park isn’t the best option. It opens at 9:00 a.m., a few hours later
than most Chicago parks. But if your pup doesn’t mind sleeping in a bit, then
they’ll love strolling through this puptacular park. It’s not as big as
some of the area’s major parks, but Crescent Park has a great walking path that
runs throughout the property. Get your pooch’s heart rate going with a couple
laps around the park. They’ll love the chance to stretch their four legs and
wag their tail at new friends. Plus, they’ll love keeping track of the local
squirrels that run up and down the trees.
The park features a baseball and soccer field. If there
are no games in play, feel free to venture onto the lawn area and let your
pooch sniff around to their heart’s content. If you have two legged children in tow,
stop by the playground so they can expend some energy. There are also a couple
tennis courts available. Concerts and other events take place in the park
throughout the summer. Check the calendar to see if there is an event your furry
friend wants to attend.
Practice proper petiquette by carrying plenty of clean up bags
and promptly picking up after your pooch. Other park patrons will be glad you
did! Also, don’t forget to bring enough cold water to keep your pal hydrated.
After a walk in the park, they’ll want nothing more than a long drink! This is
definitely one park your pooch will want to visit again and again!
