Is your dog itching for a walk? Help scratch that itch by taking them for a stroll around Euclid Park. Located in the Washington Heights community, this park sprawls across 5.5 acres of land. Your pooch will absolutely love walking around this local gem of a park.
It’s easy to see why Euclid Park is a favorite community
gathering place. It has a small fieldhouse with a multipurpose room where kids
meet for after school programs. There are also seasonal sport teams. And there are even more pawsome amenities outside the
building! Those who enjoy an active lifestyle can use the baseball fields,
tennis courts, or basketball courts. A furrific playground and nearby splash
pad are the pawfect place for two legged children to burn off some energy!
Since your pup can’t enter the buildings, it’s a good
thing there is a puptasitc walking path for them to enjoy. It follows the
perimeter of the rectangular park and passes by the ball fields and playground.
Not only will your doggo get some much needed exercise, they’ll also get to
check out what’s happening in the park. The southern end of the park has a nice
lawn area with shade trees. Let your pooch sniff around and mark their favorite
tree. If games aren’t in play, you can also wander around the ball fields. A
wide open field will definitely keep their nose busy!
Be sure to bring some clean up bags. Help keep the park
smelling fresh by promptly picking up after your dog. After all that exploring,
your furry friend will be thirsty. They will be most appreciative if you have
some cold water on hand. Above all else, have a woofderful time hanging out
with your pooch in Euclid Park!
