Sitting on 20 acres of land with 10 of it completely untouched, this play space is an idyllic spot for dogs and their families to visit. Fairbanks Dog Park offers two fenced runs where dogs can enjoy off-leash play. With the needs of small, senior, and shy dogs in mind, one enclosure has been reserved for their use.
In addition to the fenced play areas, there is also a segment of lawn that is enclosed for use in training exercises and demos. It is also available for public events by reservation only. Fairbanks Dog Park is pleased to offer entrance to this dog playground at no cost to the public.
Currently in the fundraising stages for the completion of the Davis Street Fairbanks Dog Park, donations are always welcome and are earmarked for that project. There are no on-site amenities at the Fairbanks Dog Park temporary location. With this in mind, owners should come to the park prepared with all of the things they will need for a great day at the park including poop bags, water, and a dog dish.
Bathrooms are not available on the premises for public use. In addition to the dog play areas and the fenced lawn, there are also several trails measuring 1/2 a mile in length. Fido is welcome to join his family on the trails though he must remain leashed when not in the designated off-leash areas.
There are no officially posted regulations regarding the expectations of owners visiting this park space. However, to protect against the spread of disease, it is wise for all dogs to be vaccinated. A city dog license is also an excellent idea. For a fun time for Fido and all of his canine pals, consider a trip to Fairbanks Dog Park!
