It’s no secret that a tired dog is a good dog. Help your pooch be their best by taking them for a walk in Fluehr Park. This lovely green space sprawls across 62 acres of prime Northeast Philadelphia land. Named after Joseph C. Fluehrn who rebuilt the park after a devastating fire destroyed it in the 1970s, your pup will love this green area!
Since it spans across such a large space, this park gives
your dog plenty of room to roam. Hop on the paved walking trail and let your
pooch be the guide. They’ll love strutting their stuff around the park and
through the lovely groves of trees. Keep in mind that the trail is mulit-use.
Chances are you’ll encounter cyclists, joggers, and other dog walkers. Help
your doggo mind their manners and yield as appropriate.
When visiting Fluehr Park, you and your pup don’t have to
stick to the trail. There’s acre upon
acre of green grass to explore. As you make your way around the park, you’ll
see a couple ball fields and sports fields. As long as there are no games in
play, feel free to wander wherever your pup’s nose leads. They can search a puptastic stick or track
down the local squirrels. If they need a break, find one of the benches and
paws for a break.
This park can be enjoyed at any time of year. If your
doggo likes to romp through snow, be sure to stop by in the winter. Restrooms
are available in the park. Make sure you bring some clean up bags from home and
stoop and scoop when necessary. Also, your doggo will be tail waggin’ glad if
you carry plenty of fresh water for them.
A visit to Blue Bell Park will make your pup one happy hound!
