Philadelphia has some of the best parks in Pennsylvania, and this includes the Grays Ferry Crescent, which is actually part of the Schuylkill Trail. Right in the heart of Philadelphia on Grays Ferry Avenue, and along the Schuylkill River, this pawesome park is dog furiendly and has some great amenities for both you and your pooch. Grays Ferry Crescent is stroller and wheelchair accessible, and has drinking water and restrooms for your convenience.
Grays Ferry Crescent Park is in the middle of an industrial area, but you really feel like you're in the countryside when you're there due to the mature trees that block the sights and sounds of the businesses. The park itself is modern, having just been finished in 2011, and it has a pier, fishing access, a skate park, plenty of seating, playground equipment, and a paved trail where you and your pooch can work off some of that excess energy. There is no fee, and the park provides plenty of trash cans both in the park and along the trail, so there is no reason not to pick up after your pet. They don’t provide bags though, so be sure to bring your own from home.
Do make sure your furry friend has had all the necessary vaccines and wears a collar with a rabies tag and ID at all times. Keep your furry bestie leashed throughout this public space. Your pup should also be sociable if you come to Grays Ferry Crescent Park because this is a busy area, especially during the weekends.
You and your canine kid will love a walk or an afternoon romp in this furrific park!
