There is a quaint park just waiting for you and your pawtastic pup to visit in the heart of the city of Chicago, Illinois. If you are short on time, but have a pup that needs to get out for a while, Hermitage Park is your ticket to fun and a solution to your needs!
You can access this park from the side streets within the Englewood community where Hermitage is located. Be sure to grab some water bottles, clean up bags, and your pup’s leash, and you are ready to go.
This open-space concept park offers lots of shade trees to keep you cool in the summer while you are walking on the paved paths in and around the park. There are also large areas of grass where you can throw down a blanket and relax a bit, or sit on the provided benches and do a little people watching. Fido will love rolling in the grass or romping around on an extended leash on the landscaped grounds. Your young-at-heart pup will especially appreciate the smaller area and the level ground to walk on.
Before you head out, be sure to check out the park’s other amenities, including the clubroom which offers year-round community involvement through interactive programming, a large outdoor field for sports activities, a kiddie playground where youngsters can burn off some steam, and tennis courts for a heated match. Restrooms and drinking fountains can be found indoors in the clubhouse. Keeping pup on a leash and cleaning up after them is mandatory to allow this park to remain puptastic!
Hermitage Park offers a small, but completely pup-friendly place to let your furever friend enjoy some outdoor time in the city of Chicago!
