A very popular site for extreme sports, Jordan River State Park regularly hosts ATV and dirtbike riding throughout the year. Jordan River State Park's most popular activity by far is ATV riding, with over 17 different dirt tracks available to enjoy. These tracks vary in difficulty from extreme downhill racetracks with several opportunities to gain massive air, to beginner courses with zero inclines and only the most moderate of obstacles.
For guests who have enjoyed the sport before but wouldn't mind a casual ride, the Vet Trail is suggested. This series of twists and turns features a nice combination of intermediate obstacles as well as some gorgeous mountain views. A day pass for the trails is $20, on top of the standard state park admission rates. Pit bikes are also allowed here, provided they're no less than 50cc in engine size.
Guests coming here to enjoy the public ATV tracks must be at least eight years old and have with them their educational certificate from the state of Utah while making sure to come with all required safety equipment. Also offered in Jordan River State Park is a great fishing community. This areas fishing can be found on the Jordan River, a vast body of water that passes through most of the park.
Near the north end where the river enters, guests can find two concrete fishing piers complete with reel holders and benches. Make sure you bring all the necessary items to enjoy this particular past time, as no rental services are provided. If your canine companion decided to accompany you, make sure they're kept on a leash throughout your stay.
As in all state parks, leaving no trace behind is preferred at the Jordan River State Park. Any accompanying canines should always be on a leash. In addition, guests should bring all necessary items like fresh water, and baggies to clean up any messes their dog might leave behind so everyone can enjoy this lovely park.
