The park offers off-street parallel parking on all sides of the park, which are near to its well-kept grassy fields connected by paved trails. The trail system in the park offers nearly a mile of trails, and offers a single loop that encompasses the center of the park, with forks all around it that connect to other features. The trail alone will provide you and Fido a shaded walk with features like benches and water fountains to get some water at. There's also two baseball fields, a fieldhouse, a basketball court, and a large playground in the center of the park. Restrooms are right outside the fieldhouse, along with a fitness center and swing sets at the playground. Additionally, you'll also find a small garden and clean-up stations for dogs near the fieldhouse.
Trees are scattered along the trail, the densest groups of trees are at the east side of the park, which surrounds and cover a picnic area and small open field that's secluded from the rest of the park. North of that is a second playground and asphalt play area. That's not the rest of it though, as you will also find an enclosed area that boasts a fake turf soccer field and tennis field, which is great for playing with Fido in when no teams are playing.
With plenty of dog-friendliness among the park goers, Kelvyn Park is a pawrific place to spend an hour or afternoon with your pup!
