Kosciuszko Park sits on eight acres of prime Chicago land in the Logan Park Community. If Kosciuszko is too much of a mouthful for your pooch, don’t worry, the locals fondly refer to it as Koz Park. This pawsome patch of land is named after Thadeuz Kosciuszko, a Polish patriot that came to the United States in 1776.
Those who enjoy an active lifestyle will feel right at
home in this furrific park. Four baseball diamonds, a football and soccer
field, a tennis court, and a basketball court make this place an athletic haven.
There’s even a playground and splash pad for two legged children. While these
amenities are pawsome, your pooch will be more interested in the paved walking
path that circles the park. Walk, jog, or run around this walkway so your furry
friend can get some much needed exercise. Mature trees provide shade in the
summer when the temperatures are too doggone hot. Your pup can also sniff around the open lawn area.
Perhaps the park’s most pupular feature is the large
fieldhouse. With an indoor swimming pool, a gym, and multipurpose rooms, it’s a hub of activity for the community. Seasonal programs and camps are available
for the local youth, including an edible gardening class. While your pup can’t
attend any of these activities, they can join you for outdoor events like
Movies in the Park. So check the calendar and schedule a night out with your
favorite furry friend!
Before you leave home, be sure to grab a couple clean up
bags. Other park patrons will greatly appreciate you picking up after your
beloved pup. It’s also a good idea to have some water on hand. Your pal will
definitely need a cold drink of water after their workout. Tell your pup they’re
going to Kosciuszko Park and watch their tail wag with joy!
