Do you need a place to take your pup for a walk, but don’t have a lot of time? Lily Gardens Park is the perfect place to take a break and head to with your pawtastic pup in the city of Chicago, Illinois. Small, but quaint is all you and Fido need!
Located in the Englewood community of the city, you can grab a parking spot on one of the side streets and head over with your pup on leash to take them for a walk here.
Lily Gardens Park is not a large park, but it offers you plenty of open green space to enjoy with your fur-ever friend. A few paths dot the landscape where you and pup can take a relaxing stroll. This is the perfect place for elderly pups or those that don’t get around as easy as they used to as the paths are short and paved. Sit and take in the fresh air on the provided park benches, or let Fido romp on an extended leash in the long stretches of grass. A roll on that sweet-smelling turf will do them good!
This park has been around since the early 1900’s when it was filled with lily ponds, which is where the name originated. In the more recent past, those ponds were removed, and a kiddie playground now offers fun for all the neighborhood children. There are no other features in this park as it is designed as a place to reconnect with nature. Restrooms are not available here, but you will find drinking fountains which operate during the summer months. Please bring bags and clean up after Fido to keep this park pristine.
Put a pup-break on your calendar to set aside some time with your furry friend and head outside to Lily Gardens Park in the Chicago metropolis today!
