If you're in the Chicago area, grab your canine companion and head on over to the Norwood Circle Park for a lovely stroll and some outdoor time. This three-acre park is actually triangular, not circular, so the name is a bit deceiving, and is a furrific place for you and your little buddy to hang out and play with other fur buddies any day of the week. Smack dab in the center of Chicago, Illinois, on West Peterson Avenue, Norwood Circle Park is a beautifully manicured and well taken care parcel of lush green grass all spring and summer long for your pup to play on.
The large and mature trees in the park surround a large open green space, and will provide plenty of shade for you to chill out on one of the benches while you watch Fido play. There are no fences in this park, so you will need to keep your pooch leashed, but you can use an extended leash to allow your pup some romping in the grass. The park provides plenty of lighting, allowing you to stay past dark and extend your pup's playtime.
This lovely green space is short on facilites, and there are no restrooms or fountains, so plan accordingly. Be sure to bring water, especially during the hotter months. Also bring bags to clean up after your pup and keep the park looking its best.
The Norwood Circle Park is a popular place with the locals, and your doggo may find some other pups to play with. With all the free space and greenery, you will likely see some native wild critters like squirrels, rabbits, and birds as well. For a furrific adventure in the heart of this big city, head to Norwood Circle Park!
