This park is great if you have little two-legged children in tow as well, because they have a fantastic playground here with swings, a jungle gym, tunnels, and slides. Your pooch must be licensed and up to date on all their shots when you visit, and be sure to keep them leashed throughout.
Ohio Park is fenced and has several trash cans, and a water fountain where you can refill your water bottles or Fido’s water bowl. However, the water is shut off in the winter to prevent the pipes from freezing, so bring extra water from November until March. No food or dog food is allowed inside the park, and only three doggos per person are allowed.
The playground area is wood chips, and the rest of the fenced area is concrete. There are short wooden walls around the playground where you can have a seat. Right behind the playground is a large open grassy area where you and your pooch can play.
This pawesome park is in the middle of the small community of Austin where the neighbors are friendly, and the streets are quiet. A small splash pad was recently added to the playground area where you and your canine kid can cool off if the local kids don’t mind. The park also has a doggie cleanup baggie dispenser, but it is not always filled, so it is best to bring your own.
