If you are looking to get out of the city without really leaving, then pack up your pawtastic pup and head to Palmisano Park and be transported back into nature at this Chicago, Illinois park on the southwest side of the city.
Located in the Bridgeport community, you will find plenty of parking at the entrance or on the side streets if the parking lot is full. You could easily spend the day here, so be prepared and grab your pup’s leash and some snacks.

A lovely lake has been created in the former quarry which offers native flora and fauna a place to live.
Other features within the park include a running path, sports fields, boardwalks and smaller ponds. Take a hike up the hill to see the city’s skyline, or walk Fido to the water’s edge and let them watch the ducks swim by. Restrooms are provided near the park entrance, and there are drinking fountains where you can fill your water bottles. Be sure to being your own clean up bags to keep this lovely park furbulous for all.
Don’t wait another moment to head out to Palmisano Park with your furry friend for some contemplative time in the great outdoors.
