Is your dog ready for their daily walk? Then grab the leash and head over to Park No. 534. Nestled in the South Lawndale Community, this pupperific green space is just calling your pal’s name. It’s the pawfect place for an afternoon stroll with your furry BFF.
Park No. 534 is divided in two by St. Louis Avenue. If
you have two legged children in tow, you’ll pawbably want to begin your visit
in the east section of the park. Here you will find a pawsome playground and
swings. Let your human kids get their wiggles out before exploring the large
open lawn area with your fur baby. There’s plenty of room for your pal to romp
around, on leash, of course. Their nose will stay busy tracking the new smells,
and they may even spot a squirrel or two. Bring a blanket and find a spot under
one of the mature shade trees and waste away the afternoon with your buddy.
For a more serious workout, head over to the west section
of the park. This side has a large walking track where your pooch can get in
some doggy cardio. Walk, jog, or run around the track to get your pup’s heart
rate going. Then let them cool off with a nice stroll across the lawn. If they
need to paws for a rest, find one of the benches and take a break. This area
also has lots of shade trees, which your pup will appreciate during the dog days
Don’t forget to bring some clean up bags from home. Pick
up any doggy debris your pup leaves behind. Also, after such a furrific workout,
your doggo will be thirsty. Make sure you have plenty of cold water for them to
lap up. No bones about, this park will
make your pup’s tail wag!
