Pulaski Park is a charming little park along the Delaware River in the Port Richmond neighborhood. The main feature of the park is the fishing pier that juts out into the water, offering a unique way to experience the river. Although the park is only a half-acre, the views are grande! It’s a great park to add to your route on your morning walk with Fifi. It’s located right near downtown, offering a convenient place to get a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
When you enter the park from North Delaware Avenue, you’ll find plenty of parking. This then leads you to a pathway that passes under lovely trees and through grassy areas, and eventually brings you to the pier. At the pier, you can enjoy some fishing with your best pal, or simply enjoy the views of the water and the boats passing by. It’s a peaceful space, where you can commune with nature, catch up with the local fishermen, or relax with some meditation.
Along the pathway, there is an open grassy area that your pooch is welcome to sniff and play on! There have been reports of ticks, so be sure to use insect repellent and check your doggo afterwards. It’s a great place for a picnic, so why not pack along a lunch and picnic blanket? Don’t forget the dog biscuits for your good girl or boy!
Doggos are welcome to join their humans in this park of course, as long as they stay on their best behavior. This includes staying leashed at all times, and getting picked up after. You’ll need to bring along some doggy waste bags and be prepared to stoop and scoop. Be sure to bring water too!
For a relaxing break from the city and some great views of the Delaware River, Pulaski Park is a great place to check out with your furry friend.
