If your pup has been lying around the house all day, grab the leash and head over to Revere Park for some furrific exercise. Tucked away in the North Center neighborhood, this community hotspot is just east of the North Branch of the Chicago River. And, as you may have guessed, it’s named after the infamous patriot, Paul Revere.
The first thing your pup will want to do once they arrive
is take a few laps around the paved walking path. This pawsome walkway circles
the park and runs past the major fields and sport courts. As they trot along, your
doggo can survey the park and get a sense for what’s going on. Since it’s a
pupular park, they’ll likely catch a glimpse of a game or two. Once they’ve had a good
workout, stroll through one of the open lawn areas so your pooch can feel the
grass beneath their paws. They’ll love sniffing around for sticks or marking their
favorite shade tree. A few benches are scattered throughout the park, so paws
for a rest if your pooch needs a break.
Revere Park is home to four baseball diamonds and four
tennis courts. There’s also a field house that hosts various programs for the local
youth. And if your pooch enjoys an afternoon snack in the park, they are in
luck! Revere Park has a nice picnic area that is the pawfect spot for enjoying a
treat with your dog.
Don’t forget to bring some clean up bags from home. Do
your part to keep the park smelling fresh by promptly pickup up after your
pooch. And since your doggo will be thirsty after their romp around the park,
carry some ice cold water for them to lap up. Your furry friend will agree, an
afternoon spent in Revere Park is time well spent!
