If you and your pup love the sight of water and want to get out into the city’s fresh air, then head to Chicago’s Richard J. Daley Park. You and Fido will have a great time here enjoying each other’s company in nature, without having to leave town!
Located in the Lower West Side Community of Chicago, Illinois, you will be able to find parking on the nearby side streets and garages, or even within its own parking lot facilities. You and your pup are in for a great day so why not get started?
The Richard J. Daley Park is designed with imagination in mind. The park has no structured features, so you can decide what you will use the small, open space for! There are open areas with benches for sitting and enjoying the Chicago River, which meanders nearby. Let your pawtastic pup romp on an extended leash in the green grass, or take a walk on the paved paths which are located here.
If Fido likes to take a boat ride, the Daley boat launch is the place to put in your motorized or non-motorized water craft and enjoy a float on the river. If your pup is not a water lover, then stay on shore and watch the fisherman try their best to not let the big one get away at the Daley Fishing Area.
Restrooms and drinking fountains are provided on site, so all you will need to bring is clean up mitts to keep this small, puptastic park clean for everyone. Also, remember to keep your pup on leash throughout your entire visit.
No matter what you choose to do, the Richard J. Daley Park will give you the many options you need to enjoy your outing together in Chicago.
