Tarpon Bay Road Beach is located at 111 Tarpon Bay Road, Sanibel Island, FL, at about 8-10 miles south of Periwinkle Way. It’s part of the Sanibel Island Beaches, known as some of the most unique barrier islands in the world. It’s a great place for swimming as well as biking or windsurfing. The property is a dog-friendly area, however, all pets must be leashed and cleaned up after.
This public beach is open year-round, having access to basic restrooms as well as free handicap parking. The general parking fee at Tarpon Bay Road Beach is available for $5 an hour and there is also a no-fee policy for bike parking at the entrance. Dogs must always be on a leash and under the control of the owner at all times.
Owners can visit the property from 6 am to 6 pm Monday through Sunday, although hours may change during Memorial Day. There are also picnic tables and restrooms available, plus access to water and showers situated at the beach access point, which are in use from 7 am to 6 pm.

Although there is no bike path north of San-Cap Road, visitors can go biking on the road which ends at Tarpon Bay Explorers. The most important thing owners can do when taking their dogs to the beach is to make sure they are always on a leash and under their supervision. In order to keep the location as clean as possible, owners are encouraged to always clean up after their dogs.
