Your pup is asking to go out to burn off some steam and get in a bit of exercise! The Touhy-Herbert Park in the city of Chicago, Illinois, is the perfect place for you both to enjoy some outdoor time while spending some quality time together.
Easily located in the Near West Community, this park has easy access by either arriving on foot or parking your car on the adjacent side streets. Clip on your pup’s leash and head out!
The park sits on 3 acres of land which has plenty of landscaped, grassy areas to keep your pup content. There are paved walking paths which meander throughout and sidewalks that lie around the perimeter of the park. Take Fido for a stroll, on either or both, for some well-deserved exercise to stretch your legs! They are level and easily accessible for the handicapped, and elderly pups will especially like the ease of walking along them. Wrought iron fencing completes the lovely look of this park.
While you are strolling through the park, check out the other amenities which include a small fieldhouse, where restrooms are located, sports fields and b-ball courts. And no park would be complete without a magnificent children’s playground with a separate water fountain system, to keep the kids happy in the summer. Drinking fountains operate outside during the warm-weather months, and bringing a bowl for your pup would be furtastic! Fido is required to be kept on leash throughout their visit, and cleaning up after them is important to keep this area pup-friendly, so be sure to bring mutt mitts.
Take a cue from your pawtastic friend and head out today for a walk at the Touhy-Herbert Park!
