Originally known as Juneway Terrace Baby Park, local residents took charge of this unused space in 1946 and organized a campaign to equip a playground. In the early 1980's, this pawsome spot became home to some community gardens, and its name was changed to Triangle Park Gardens. In 2001, the Chicago Park District took over the management of the grounds and added 1.7 acres to the existing property. Today, there are still wooftastically beautiful gardens that you and your best canine pal can enjoy while out on a walk together.
Triangle Park is an extremely dog fur-iendly space! You are welcome to bring your fave pooch with you in any area of this furrific playground, but you must keep them leashed at all times. Since no amenities are provided on the premises, you will want to pack a goody bag which includes drinking water and cleanup bags. You might even want to throw in a frisbee or a ball or two in case a puptastic game of fetch is in order!
Triangle Park essentially consists of a playground for children and lots of vast grass spaces. You and your main canine squeeze may freely explore the property by getting in a vigorous walk, playing tug or fetch, or even enjoying a prepared snack from home on the grounds. Triangle Park is also a pawsome place to take in some R&R or catch up on a great book with Fido contentedly lazing near to your side. You will also find benches along the perimeter of the property which provide a terrierific place to watch the world go by.
For your next doggone amazing adventure, plan a trip to Triangle Park. You'll have a barking great day!
