Dear happy pets owners, I want to let you know that Wag, like most gig work, considers workers as independent contractors and therefore the price you pay includes their 40% commission for any service. I am self-employed and pay the IRS a hefty 30% tax each quarter. I hope this helps to explain the true cost of services and understand where the money goes. A significant part of my income comes from the generosity of grateful clients who appreciate the time, flexibility, skill and love I put into caring for their furry family.
